Ouija Movie

There's going to be a Ouija movie! Yep, a movie based on the popular Ouija board game by Parker Bros. Platinum Dunes (they produced the last remake Nightmare on Elm Street) intends indeed to bring Ouija to the big screen. The film is currently listed for a release in 2011 by IMDb, but there's nothing set in stone yet they're still in pre-production after all.

A few words from Producer Brad Fuller about the upcoming Ouija movie:

"Ouija isn't really a horror movie per se, it's definitely more of a big action-adventure movie along the lines of… I gotta be careful what I compare it to. But you know, it's like a big action-adventure movie. And that script… I've read a couple pages of it, it seems good. I think we're getting the full script in the next month. And that's a very exciting project for it, cause it's a much bigger movie, and it gives us an opportunity to try something we haven't done before… There are definitely horror elements, because it's about Ouija and what happens from an Ouija board, but it’s a much bigger film. I would call it an action-adventure with horror elements."

Would make more sense to make a real horror movie if it's based on Ouija, but I guess they want to reach a large public and don't want the film to be rated R. They want to emulate the success of Pirates of the Caribbean.

I really wonder what's the plot of their Ouija movie though... Well, more details about the movie Ouija should leak online soon, so stay tuned!
